Today is a big day for YouTube TV and its customers because as of today, they have added PBS and PBS Kids, which have been long-awaited, and the service also added Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

PBS and PBS Kids are currently only available in select markets. YouTube TV is currently the exclusive provider of PBS and PBS Kids for live TV streaming services.

PBS has programs such as Victoria, Downton Abbey (reruns), Classic Doctor Who (reruns and only in select markets), and NOVA. PBS Kids airs shows such as Arthur, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Sesame Street.

I can say that the Nebraska PBS station where I am from is online and currently live streaming content to it. However, again, this will only be in select markets for the time being.

OWN airs programming such as Greenleaf, Dr. Phil and Ambitions. To see their entire programming lineup, click here.

Discovery Inc, who owns the network, describes OWN as the following:

OWN is the network of self-discovery, connecting people to each other and to their greatest potential. We tell real-life stories that are emotional and entertaining. We present moments of transformation that inspire action. We give you the tools to fuel your own self-discovery and live your best life. On OWN, it’s not about what’s next on TV, it’s about what’s next for you.

YouTube TV costs $49.99 a month and is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac (via Google Chrome and Firefox browsers).
