Apple has recently updated the iOS and iPadOS App Store category page with new listings for “Graphics and Design” as well as “Developer Tools”, potentially hinting to an Xcode port to the more portable operating OS Apple offers on their iPhone, iPad and iPod range.

In a recent screenshot, it can be seen that the two new categories were subtly added around the 19th of April 2020. This comes also momentarily after a recent tip from an Appleosopher, citing that when testing an iOS app, an option for “Xcode Previews” came up in the iOS Share Sheet on his iPhone.

The method for producing this supposedly appeared when in the Shortcuts app, with the addition of a complication to the share sheet to test with “Xcode Preview”, which is another potential hint towards Xcode’s iOS port.

Below is a gallery with the relevant screenshots to how this was found out, in addition to the screenshot with the app icon. Click to view it in more detail.

This article will be updated as more is found out about this topic.
