Apple has announced its October 27th Event. Apple is rumored to announce improvements to the Mac lineup, especially the MacBook Pro which will get a OLED row of function keys. This will allow for software customization of the keyboard for volume controls, progress bars, and many other things. This event is one week from today and will be available to stream at Apple.com.
