Apple’s iPad 2 is set to be considered “obsolete” by the end of April. This is an iPad that still has the old fashioned 30-pin port on it for charging and syncing purposes.
The iPad 2 was released in March 2011 and discontinued by March 2014. It was also the first iPad with a significant redesign. If you remember, the iPad 2 had a bit of a curvy backside, whereas the original iPad was as flat as a piece of wood. The iPad 2 also had both the front and rear cameras.
There is no specific day when the iPad 2 will be considered obsolete, but it is set to happen by the end of April. We will update the site when it is officially labeled obsolete by Apple.
