Apple Releases tvOS 12 Beta 2 for registered developers

Apple has officially released tvOS 12 beta 2 to registered developers for testing on Apple TV. tvOS 12 beta 2 will most likely include more stability improvements and bug fixes. However, as we continue to test, we can expect Apple to continue tweaking different things throughout the software. This new beta software comes a week on after tvOS 12 beta 1 was released to registered developers.

What’s in the Beta 1?

Dolby Atmos Audio:

tvOS 12 introduces support for Dolby Atmos audio and compatibility with the Dolby Atoms soundboard, the only soundbar to support both Dolby Atoms and Vision. The upgraded audio experience will be coming to iTunes later this year.

TV App:

Updates will be coming to the TV app – as expected – Charter Spectrum will be bringing live TV to the app and be the first to support a new ‘Zero Sign-on’ feature.

Control Center:

Control Center will now automatically feature an Apple TV control tile and other smart home remotes from companies like Creston and more will be able to control Apple TV and even feature Siri support.

Updated Screensavers:

tvOS 12 will feature a brand-new aerial screensaver of Earth that will feature amazing footage from the International Space Station the ISS.
