Apple files for 2018 iPhone lineup in Eurasian database with two iPad models also filed

Before releasing a new product Apple has to file all of their new products with the Eurasian database. However, not all devices that are filed in the Eurasian database come to market as Apple can choose to cancel a device before its planned release.

2018 iPhone Lineup:

Apple has filed for new iPhones running iOS 12, which are all more or less confirmed to be released in September at the Apple Special Event. The identifiers for these new iPhones are; A1920, A1921, A1984, A2097, A2098, A2099, A2101, A2103, A2104, A2105, and A2106.

Don’t worry, you haven’t got Deja Vu, yes these models were filed in the database back in April. However, these new filings show that the device will run iOS 12 and not iOS 11, as submitted in the original filing back in April.

iPad Filings:

There have also been two more iPads files in the Eurasian database, bringing it to a total of 7 un-released iPads that are floating around. All of the iPads in the database including the ones filed with the 2018 iPhone lineup are filed as coming with iOS 11. However, Apple may update the metadata at its sole discretion later this year.
