iOS 12 developer beta 5 now available for download

Apple has just released iOS 12 beta 5 for registered developers. So if you’re a developer; it’s time to update. This update will contain bug fixes alongside interface tweaks and some potential new features. Apple announced iOS 12 back in June 2018 at it’s annual World Wide Developers Conference, WWDC18.

What’s New in Beta 5:

Summary of New Features:

iOS 12 is mainly focused on bug fixes and performance improvements. However, Apple has added some new features including a major update to FaceTime which now allows for Group FaceTime with as many as 32 people. Talking about doing things with multiple people; ARKit 2 brings shared experiences. Siri Shortcuts speeding up day-to-day tasks – enhancing Siri’s functionality. A brand-new look for Voice Memos, Stocks, Apple News & Apple Books. Also coming in iOS 12 is Screen Time for more parental control, grouped and manageable notifications. Memoji for iMessages and FaceTime and finally; a refined Photos search and sharing experience.

  • Smaller notification action button, updated blur effect in Control Center & simplified settings in Measure app.
  • Low Power Mode now is shown in the battery statistics graph.
  • New Activity stickers in the iMessage app.
  • New splash screens upon first-time start-up.
  • Podcasts now has Chapters support.
  • iPhone only apps on iPad now use iPhone 6 size instead of iPhone 4 size with updated zoom icon.
  • Clear All Notifications has a new animation.
  • Apple Watch Face Gallery now only shows Siri Watch Face.
