Apple TV’s What to Watch: March 15–21

This is a series we have been trying to do for a few weeks, but due to lack of Apple sending out emails for this promotion, we have been unable to do so. The good news is that the email did come today and we can do this again.

Apple’s big pick this week is The Good Fight, which is a show exclusively on CBS All Access. Apple says in their email about the series, “Christine Baranski is a knockout, but this season there’s a new lawyer representing the dark side, and he’s played by the brilliant Michael Sheen.”

Here are Apple’s other recommendations for shows and movies over the course of the following week:

New + Noteworthy:

  • American Gods (Starz): After last season’s build, we’re dying to see Ian McShane’s Odin unleashed.
  • The Case Against Adnan Syed (HBO): If you loved Serial, you have to see this stellar doc’s 360-degree view of that murder and its ramifications.
  • Project Runway (Bravo): Karlie Kloss and Christian Siriano take the fashion mainstay to a modern new level.

  • Shrill (Hulu): Lindy West’s tale of self-worth and Aidy Bryant’s comedic gifts are a revelatory match.
  • Carpool Karaoke (Apple Original): Whether the subject is accents or animal attacks, Michael Sheen and Matthew Rhys have us cracking up.
  • Catastrophe (Prime Video): We’ve loved Rob and Sharon since the premiere, and that’s only intensifying now that we’ve reached the end.

Must-See Movies

  • Aquaman: We’ve wondered what the superhero genre needed. Turns out it was Jason Momoa.
  • A Star is Born ($9.99 for a limited time on iTunes): Want to take another look at this heartbreaking drama whenever you want?
  • Green Book: Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen’s chemistry lights up the Best Picture Oscar® winner.

Game Time:

  • Warriors vs Thunder (NBA): The Dubs better look alive: Russ is averaging a triple-double and PG-13’s playing like a bona fide MVP. The game begins at 8 PM ET on ABC on Saturday evening.
  • Predators vs. Sharks (NHL): We’re in the home stretch! If either powerhouse truly wants to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup, it’s time to ramp up. This game begins at 10:30 PM ET on ESPN+ on Saturday night.
  • 76ers vs. Bucks (NBA): Keep an eye on the Embiid vs. Gianni’s battle — any bad blood is bound to spill over come playoff time. This game will begin at 3:30 PM ET on ABC on Sunday afternoon.
