As we get closer and closer to the WWDC 2019 keynote, more and more things are being leaked early on Twitter and other social media.
One of those things that was leaked this morning was a line of code that shows a new Apple OS called “iPadOS.” Given the nature of the name of the OS, it could mean that today’s keynote could mean that the iPad is going to be getting its own operating system.
If you look in the photo on the green right side, you will see that “iPadOS” is highlighted, along with other Apple OS’s such as iOS, watchOS and tvOS.
Over the years, Apple has tried and done a pretty great job with making the iPad more powerful through iOS 11 and iOS 12, but perhaps the company is looking to give the iPad its own OS to get it up there to its full potential.
To find out, make sure to be streaming the WWDC keynote, which will begin at 10 a.m. PT on Apple’s website or the Apple Events app on the Apple TV. You will also be able to watch it on Twitter too via their website, iOS app and Apple TV app.
