This will be the first weekend of the month of fall, and with the temperatures going down, people across the country will be looking to stay indoors where it is warmer, as well as binge-watch their favorite movies and TV shows (order lunch or dinner with Apple Pay too while you’re at it).
I also want to announce that since we are in October now, we will be recommending two Halloween movies per-week every single week through this month to get you ready for the holiday!
TV:
- Big Mouth (Season 3): The newest season of one of Netflix’s top animated TV shows has returned for its third season. Today is the day of its release, which can be watched in its entirety!
- Light as a Feather (Season 2, Part 2): Hulu has released the newest season of this series on its streaming platform. With that said, all of the episodes can be watched at once.
- Mr. Robot (Season 4 Premiere): The newest and final season of Mr. Robot will premiere on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.
Movies:
- Toy Story 4: What could be the final Toy Story film is not available on iTunes to purchase. The film can be purchased on iTunes for $19.99. It will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.
- Steve Jobs: Since October 5, 2019 will mark the eighth year since the death of Apple co-founder and visionary Steve Jobs passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, we thought it would be a great tribute to him. The Michael Fassbender version of the film can currently be streamed on HBO NOW and HBO GO.
- St. Elmo’s Fire: This is just a good film to watch during the fall and since it is October now and the weather being cool (and rainy in some areas), this could be a good film to pass the weekend by with. I have personally only seen it once and even though I enjoyed it, I’ll say that the score by David Foster is what really makes this movie stick out. The movie itself is available to stream for free (with ads) on Crackle.
Halloween Movies of the Week:
- The Nightmare Before Christmas: It is known to be a classic movie to watch during the Halloween season. It can be rented on iTunes for $2.99!
- Ghostbusters: Again, this is another classic movie and a great one to watch during this time of the year. It can be streamed in the Freeform app (must provide TV provider) and any sort of live TV streaming service that gets Freeform, which would give you access to Freeform’s on-demand movies and TV shows.
Sports:
- #7 Auburn vs #10 Florida (College Football): This game will be played on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Find out how to stream here.
