A new sports network will be launching this week and now Hulu with Live TV will be one of the first live TV streaming services to carry it.
Marquee Sports Network is a new sports network that will be launching on February 22, 2020. The network is expected to be the exclusive carrier of Chicago Cubs baseball games.
Mike McCarthy, Marquee’s general manager of Marquee Sports Network, said this in a statement:
“We are thrilled to partner with Hulu and add them to our growing list of over 30 affiliates who will carry the network…We’ve heard from countless Hulu subscribers who were keenly interested to see their favorite baseball team. And now, they will.”
The network is owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which also owns all of the regional FSN stations.
While this is a big deal for both Marquee Sports Network and Hulu, the network still does not have any deals with any other live TV streaming service providers such as YouTube TV, Sling TV, VidGo or AT&T TV NOW, so it will be interesting to see if they are added to those services before the 2020 MLB season starts.
Hulu with Live TV currently costs $55 a month and can be used on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
