North Carolina’s Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) has added Apple Pay as a payment option at its license plate agencies.
This means that those who show up to those license plate agencies can simply tap their iPhone or Apple Watch at the card reader, where the card reader will now accept Apple Pay.
On top of Apple Pay, this does include other contactless and NFC-based payment methods such as Google Pay and Samsung Pay, as well as credit and debit cards that have the NFC chip embedded.
Apple Card users in the state will be able to use their Apple Card through their iPhone or Apple Watch and get two percent back in Daily Cash. T
The NCDMV does plan on eventually making this payment option available at its driver license facilities.
