Recently the last of Australia’s big four banks completed their rollout of Apple Pay. Roy Morgan Digital Payments indicates a Sharp Increase in non-bank contactless services. As all of Australia’s big four banks completed their Apple Pay rollout recently, more Australians are adding their cards to their devices.

The report shows that 10.8 percent of Australians use mobile payment services. 6.5 percent accounts for Apple Pay. This sharp increase is due to the current pandemic situation, where people are looking for alternatives to cash.
