The coronavirus pandemic has made it so some businesses have changed the way they take payments.
These businesses have also changed their payment methods because of the coin shortage that is also impacting the U.S. at this time, which is why they are preferring customers take the route of using credit/debit cards or contactless payment methods such as Apple Pay.
A Reddit user posted on Sunday that Old Navy stores are now encouraging customers to use contactless payment methods while at the register, as they cleaner than using physical cash, more secure and much quicker than putting the physical card in the card reader.
We have seen this at other businesses like McDonald’s, which started promoting it in its stores in May this year.
Old Navy’s stores, app and website do accept Apple Pay. Apple Card users can get two percent in Daily Cash when they make a purchase.
