This week, Microsoft started to test Trackpad on the beta versions of the new Excel and Word App. It is introduced into the new beta version 2.42, which is available through Apple’s beta testing program, TestFlight.
Microsoft had previously said that mouse and Trackpad support will be introduced in Word and Excel Apps on iPad by this fall.
With the help of Trackpad support, it will be easy to use Word and Excel App with increased functionality. Hovering around App icons and different functions will be easy with the help of Trackpad. While using Trackpad, cursor pops up as a circle in the screen which will be shown only when you place your finger on the Trackpad.
iPadOS 13.4 introduced Trackpad support on supported devices. The supported devices are iPad Pro models, the iPad Air 2 and later, iPad (5th Generation) and later, and the iPad mini 4 and later. Apple’s Magic Keyboard, Brydge’s Pro+ for the iPad Pro, Logitech’s Combo for the 10.2-inch iPad and the 10.5-inch iPad Air and so many other keyboards have built in Trackpad support.
