Previously, Apple was using Intel processors and did so starting in 2006.
It would be interesting to see if CEO Tim Cook and Apple were to go the route of a third event, whereas if Apple does have two fall events like it normally does, it usually happens in September and October.
However, due to COVID-19 and the company being limited in what it can do, in terms of having events and people there, it could push the envelope and unveil new Macs to the world.
After all, Apple has yet to announce when macOS Big Sur, its newest version of macOS, will be released. A November Mac-based Apple Event would have to cover something like that.
Additionally, the U.S. is about to enter the holiday season, which at the time of the rumored Apple Event, the country would be in full swing for the season. If Apple was going to do something about the holiday season regarding its Mac lineup, early-to-mid November would be the time to do it.
