HomePod

Apple’s smart speakers, the HomePod and new HomePod Mini let customers ask Siri questions, as well as play music from its high quality speakers.

For a while, support on the device has been limited to just Apple Music, but the HomePod Mini will support Spotify, just not mention it to customers.

Still, today Pandora updated its app to bring HomePod support to its music streaming service. This means users of the HomePod can ask Siri to play a song and mention they want it played from Pandora. Once the request has been made, the HomePod should start playing the song from Pandora.

This will work for those who have and are using the app from their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

To get it working with your HomePod, do the following steps:

  • Open the app
  • Select your profile
  • Tap the Settings gear icon
  • Tap “Connect with HomePod”
  • Tap “Use in Home”

Just like that, you should be able to play your music or podcasts from Pandora directly from your HomePod.
