Apple first talked about its Fitness+ service at the September event alongside the launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 and SE. Fitness+ will offer multiple workout categories with for the Apple Watch Users to stay fit. Apple has announced that the service will be made available for the users on December 14, 2020.
Some of the workouts will not require any special equipment while others might need the use of dumbbells, treadmill, a yoga mat and more. To tackle that situation, Apple has already started listing a few of the accessories that you might need in your workout session.
These are the items that have been listed in the Store:
- Manduka eKOlite Yoga Mat ($77.95)
- Manduka 6 mm Performance Yoga Mat ($119.95)
- Cork Yoga Block ($19.95)
It has been mentioned that the Manduka eKOlite Yoga Mat is eco-friendly and has a biodegradable surface with sufficient amount of grip. On the other hand, the 6mm Yoga Mat comes with extra cushioning and comfort.
Fitness+ will be available for $9.99 a month or $79.99 if you plan to get the annual subscription, which will reduce the monthly fee to $6.67. The Apple One Premier package, which is priced at $29.99 a month and also provides Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and 2TB iCloud storage, also includes Fitness+. Up to six family members in total can use the Fitness+ service.
Fitness+ will be available Monday, December 14, and requires iOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2, iPadOS 14.3, and tvOS 14.3. Apple Fitness+ will be available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the US at launch and might be expanded to other countries later.
