Over the last four years since I got my iPhone 6, I have done everything in my power to make sure that I make as many purchases as possible with Apple Pay.

For someone like me who has had their debit card hacked a few times in their life because of card skimmers at various retail establishments, I want to make sure that not only that I make my purchase, but to also make it so after I make it, I don’t have to think about it anymore from a security point of view.

When it comes to the holidays, we are all so busy with work, family, and life that the last thing you want to have to do is spend time on a customer service phone line, waiting to get to someone who can help you get a new card, get your money back, etc.

In my experience with the service, I have yet to have my debit or credit card hacked while using it. That right there is a huge reason to be using the service.

With all of that said, I made all of my Christmas purchases this year with Apple Pay. Unfortunately, I am unable to say what I bought because the people I purchased gifts for might read this.

However, here is how and where I made the purchases this year.

The first purchase came from Best Buy on its app. I ordered it during the week of Black Friday and Thanksgiving, so I was able to get a great deal on it too.

My next two Christmas purchases with Apple Pay were done in a store, which might sound odd during these coronavirus times but I was masked and made sure I was safe in the store, as well as sanitize my hands after I was finished with both purchases.

One of the purchases was made at Barnes & Noble with Apple Pay and the other was made about a week later at Target with my Apple Card.

To honest, it’s not hard to do this today like it was when I first started using Apple Pay in 2016. More stores like Target, Barnes & Noble and plenty of others have begun to accept it in their stores.

I encourage you all, for the rest of the holiday season, to make as many purchases as you can with Apple Pay. It’s the safest way to pay for your items and with that extra time, you can spend more time with your family and friends during what is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year.

Plus, when using the Apple Card, you can get that 2% in Daily Cash that can always come in handy.
