Monica Lozano, the CEO of the College Futures Foundation has been appointed to Apple’s board of directors. With almost 30 years of experience in both private and public fields, she brings professionalism and determination to the board.
Before her work in the College Futures Foundation, Lozano was the editor and publisher of La Opinión, which gave her experience in the media field. After that, she was part of the boards of Target and Bank of America, making her more than qualified to take a seat on Apple’s board of directors.
According to Tim Cook, “Monica has been a true leader and trailblazer in business, media and an ever-widening circle of philanthropic efforts to realize a more equitable future -in our schools and in the lives of all people”.
With quite a lengthy resume, she is more than prepared to take a sit on Apple’s board. This decision does not stop here, because it shows that Apple is willing and advocated to push towards a future with representation, where the voices of every minority are heard in the bigger business environment.
