Those who stream Hulu regularly on their iPhones are in luck as the Picture-in-Picture feature has returned to the Hulu app.
This is only for those who are running iOS 14 on their iPhones. Any version of iOS under that will not work when it comes to the Picture-in-Picture feature.
Picture-in-Picture on the iPhone was a function in iOS 14 that was announced during WWDC last year. When it was released that fall, Hulu did support the feature but quietly took it away that same year.
As of the newest update to its iOS app, Version 7.19, Picture-in-Picture support is back in the app.
You can see below a picture of the feature at use on my iPhone 8 Plus in the top-right corner of the screen while it plays an episode of FOX’s “Last Man Standing.”
Hulu starts at just $5.99 a month with ads or $11.99 a month for the ad-free version. The service also syncs with the Apple TV app as well.
