Roku has announced its newest streaming device, which is the Roku Express 4K+ that includes a new remote called the “Roku Voice Remote Pro.”
The new Roku Express 4K+is currently available to purchase through the Roku website for $39.99 with the Roku Voice Remote Pro costing consumers $29.99 per remote.
What makes this major for Apple is that for the first time ever, the remote will feature an Apple TV+ button that will take users to the Apple TV+ app, enabling the user to watch content from the streaming service.
Other streaming service buttons on the remote are Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu.
The Apple TV+ button replaces the previous Sling TV button on the Roku remote.
Since the Apple TV+ button will be there on the remote, it will give users access to all of their other streamed content from other streaming services they use that are connected to the Apple TV app, and access to Apple TV Channels.
On top of the Express 4K+ having a remote with an Apple TV+ button, the streaming device also has AirPlay support. That feature alone will allow users to play media and content from a device like an iPhone or iPad to their TV screen.
The device will have Siri built-in as a voice assistant as well.
Roku’s Express 4K+ is set to begin shipping to customers on Sunday, May 16.
