Apparently, the newest trend in the business world has to do with customers getting a hold of customer service in a faster way.

Both Office Depot and Champs Sports now offer support for Apple Business Chat.

For those who do not know, Apple Business Chat is available to access on devices like the iPhone, iPad and Mac, and allow for customers to speak to a company’s customer service through iMessage instead of calling a customer service line or using a company’s website to speak with a support agent.

We have already seen just in the past couple of months that Best Buy got support for the Apple-based business messaging service.

To access each of these company’s business chats, simply look one up on Apple Maps, find a store, open up the full profile in Apple Maps and then look for the Messages icon. From there, you should be able to tap on that and be brought to a page in iMessage to begin speaking to a support agent.

When in the chat, customers can ask support agents about store hours, inventory of products, as well as a multitude of other questions.

What does make this slightly odd is since Office Depot and OfficeMax are merged as the same company, the option only comes up on Apple Maps when looking up Office Depot stores through it.

Office Depot, OfficeMax and Champs Sports all do support Apple Pay too, which would give Apple Card users 2% in Daily Cash on each purchase they make through either the company’s retail stores or websites.

What do you think of Office Depot and Champ Sports now being on board with Apple Business Chat? Will you be using it? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
