We reported earlier Monday that it looked as though the bundle with Paramount+ and Showtime was coming to an end. However, it appears as though it’s not quite over yet.
Twitter user @GoMaxXD tweeted that their Paramount+ with Showtime bundle for $9.99 a month did renew for another month Monday night, indicating that the bundle will still be an option for those who previously subscribed to it.
The bundle is back!!
Just renewed my @paramountplus and @Showtime bundle for $9.99! Renews August 24th”¦ I think this was just a backend/server issue. pic.twitter.com/Vs161fccYX

When it was first reported that the bundle looked like it was going away by multiple tech media outlets, there was no official word from Apple or ViacomCBS, so it was unclear whether or not this was a glitch or that both companies were trying to quietly end the bundle.
@GoMaxXD also spoke exclusively with Appleosophy earlier about what he had been told from Apple and the potential reason the issue occurred earlier.
“Apple Support told me that this was an engineering problem today,” he said. “Of course, there was no way to know unless the problem was fixed. Specifically, they said it was an issue between their authorization system and Paramount servers.”
The bundle has only been an option through Apple TV Channels in the Apple TV app, and was only made for a limited time. It was also made when Paramount+ was CBS All Access before it became Paramount+, which launched this past March.
Those who are subscribed to the bundle after all this time are still grandfathered into the $9.99 bundled price.
The only way to have both subscriptions now through Apple TV Channels is to subscribe to each channel individually. Paramount+ with no ads costs $9.99 a month and Showtime costs $10.99 per month. Bost streaming services are owned and run by ViacomCBS.
