Yesterday, Disney announced that its iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV apps now have support for Apple’s new SharePlay feature in iOS 15.
SharePlay is usable for those that are running iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1 and tvOS 15.1 on their iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K.
Disney has also said that SharePlay will work on its entire library of content as well, and that support for the feature will be applied to new originals like “The Book of Boba Fett.”
What SharePlay does is it allows for a FaceTime call of up to 32 people to watch a TV show, movie or video all at once at the same time.
Apple does eventually intend to get other streaming services such as Hulu, Paramount+, HBO Max, Pluto TV and TikTok to add the feature too.
