On top of football and other holiday specials going on Sunday night, PBS will be airing the popular Christmas special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
This will be the second consecutive year in a row that PBS will be airing the special. It previously aired on ABC for almost two decades. However, when Apple bought the rights to “Charlie Brown” back in 2018, by the time 2020 rolled around, the special was vacant from airing on national television due to its Apple TV+ exclusivity.
Apple and PBS did get an agreement last year and appear to have done the same thing this year so everyone will have the chance to see it on linear TV.
Tonight, the special will air at 7:30 p.m. ET on PBS and PBS Kids.
In terms of streaming it live on PBS, there are three ways to do so at this time. Those methods include streaming it through either DirecTV Stream (currently in select TV markets) or YouTube TV, or streaming it live through the free PBS app available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV.
Of course, the special is still available to stream anytime on the Apple TV app for Apple TV+ subscribers.
