While YouTube does provide me with the ability to watch almost any video I want that I pay for with my time by watching its ads and supporting its creators.
However, as of late, I have gotten tired of all of the ads, especially since a lot of them tend to repeat.
It is with that issue there that I recently purchased for one month, a subscription to YouTube Premium.
Features YouTube Premium has in 2022 is the ability to play videos in the background, download videos for offline use and access to YouTube Music Premium.
Once I was able to sit down and use the service, I found early on that not having ads with almost every video to be a major convenience and time-saver. Being able to turn my iPhone’s screen off and still have the video play was another plus for me.
I still have yet to download a video for offline usage or use YouTube Music Premium, so those are aspects of the service I will have to use soon.
The one downside of YouTube Premium that I have found to be egregious is its monthly price of $15.99 a month. This is the price that you must pay i you buy via in-app purchases in the App Store. I could understand between $7-10 a month, but $15.99 is horrendous and is a simple money grab.
Despite my issues with the monthly price of the service, it does have convenience and saving of time attached to it, so I should not complain too much about it.
Be sure to read my full review of YouTube Premium in the coming days to perhaps find out more about it and see if it is a service you should subscribe to.
