Today, Apple released a new update for those still running iOS and iPadOS 15 on their devices.
The release notes from Apple are the following:
“This update provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.”
Security updates like these are typically for older iPhones and iPad that do not have the native capabilities of supporting its newest operating system, with that being iOS 16.1 right now.
These updates can also be used for those who have made the choice to not download and install iOS 16 at this time.
Apple iOS and iPadOS updates can be downloaded and installed through Settings app, going into the General section, tapping on Software Update, and then following the prompts from there.
