It was announced today by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) that HBO Max’s ad-free tier will be getting an increase in price.

The ad-free price was $14.99 a month but is now being increased to $15.99 a month starting today. Its ad-supported plan, which currently costs $9.99 a month, is not getting any increase in price at this time.

WBD said in a statement, “This price increase of one dollar will allow us to continue to invest in providing even more culture-defining programming and improving our customer experience for all users.”

It has already been said by WBD that it does plan to merge both HBO Max and Discovery+ sometime this year, but an official date for that merging has not been announced yet.

The new price for HBO Max will impact current users of the streaming service starting on their February 2023 bill.

HBO Max is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac. It syncs with the Apple TV app too.
