The weather is getting warmer, but the rainy days are coming and that makes for a great opportunity to stay in and watch your favorite movies and TV shows.
TV:
- “New Girl”: This month, the series will be finding new homes on both Hulu and Peacock on Monday, April 17.
- “Code Lyoko”: If you’re a millennial and looking to catch up on some good old-fashioned Cartoon Network nostalgia, this popular French TV series can currently be streamed on Netflix.
- “Rabbit Hole” (Season 1): The first two episodes of this new Kiefer Sutherland series premiered last Sunday and new episodes of this series will release exclusively on Paramount+ each Sunday this month.
- “Better Call Saul” (Season 6): This show’s final season will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, April 18.
- “The Winchester’s” (Season 1): The first season of this “Supernatural” spin-off that airs on The CW will be coming to HBO Max on Thursday, April 6.
Movies:
- “Fantastic Beasts”: All three movies in the franchise are now once again available on HBO Max.
- “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always”: “Power Rangers” seems to be a timeless classic with 90s and 2000s kids, and the 30th anniversary special of the series will be available on Netflix on Wednesday, April 19.
- “Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor”: It may not be a full-fledge movie, but it is a TV special and is almost as long as a TV movie. Either way, this is the final episode of the 13th Doctor and has quite the story to it. It will be available on HBO Max on Sunday, April 23.
- “Moneyball”: To get you in the mood for the 2023 MLB season, this Aaron Sorkin film starring Brad Pitt could be be the thing to get you ready. It can currently be streamed on Peacock.
- “Bee Movie”: Want to have a family movie night with the kids? This iconic Jerry Seinfeld animated film will sure leave you laughing and smiling throughout the entire film. It is on HBO Max.
Sports:
- “Friday Night Baseball” (MLB): Apple TV+ is kicking off its second season with MLB baseball on Friday nights with games between the Texas Ranges against the Chicago Cubs at 2:20 p.m. ET and San Diego Padres against the Atlanta Braves at 7:20 p.m. ET. Both games will be on Friday, April 7.
- Men’s College Basketball National Championship: At this time, we do not know exactly which teams will be in it but can say that the game will be played at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, April 3, on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.
- Food City Dirt Race (NASCAR Cup Series): Nothing says America like Sunday night NASCAR racing on Easter. This race will be broadcast at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 9, on FOX.
- Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (IndyCar): This is quite a popular and historic race for the IndyCar racing series. It will broadcast at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 16, on NBC and streaming live on Peacock.
- 2023 NFL Draft: It’ll be the biggest night of the offseason for the NFL. The first round will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network. Rounds 2-3 will be aired live at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 28, and rounds 4-8 will air at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
