Taiwan officially gets support for Tap to Pay on iPhone

Avatar for David Becker

Apple announced today that support for its Tap to Pay on iPhone feature has officially launched in Taiwan.

The company first introduced this feature in the U.S. last year, with Apple Stores getting the functionality for it first. Since then, other companies such as Wix have also added support for the feature too.

What this means for the people in Taiwan with an iPhone is they can now accept and receive payment from one iPhone to another, and turns the iPhone into its own POS system.

China Trust Bank and TapPay are the two platforms supporting Apple’s Tap to Pay for their business customers.
