It has been reported that Apple Pay could be getting further expansion this year.

Reporter Pedro Martin tweeted last week that Apple Pay is set to be launching in Chile on Tuesday, August 8.

Diario Financial reported last week that the Chilean financial institution Transbank is said to be one of the first banks with support for Apple Pay once it is launched. There have been hints since 2021 that the country would get support for it, with one bank that year, Banco de Chile that allowed users to add their cards to the Apple Wallet app for a short time.
