Appleosophy | New Shazam update features Lock Screen Widgets

The Shazam app has now been updated to their its latest version 15.38, which includes a new way to find your favorite music. Shazam has added two new widgets that appear on the Lock Screen.

The new Lock Screen widgets come in two variants: a small one and a bigger one. The bigger one displays additional information such as the most recent song recognized by the app. If you tap on the widget, it will open the app and present the song. You will also have the option to add the song to your Apple Music library or continue to use the app to identify songs.

Shazam is a company owned by Apple. They acquired the music recognition app in September 2018. The acquisition was valued at 400 million dollars, as reported by Forbes.

Users can download the Shazam app from the App Store, ask Siri to recognize any song, or even add it to the control center. Shazam is available on Google’s Play Store for Android devices as well.

Will you be adding these Widgets to your Lock Screen? Let us know in the comments or tweet/post to us at @appleosophy. Stay up-to-date on the latest Apple news and updates by downloading the Appleosophy App from the App Store or by visiting our website.
