2023 has certainly been the year of price increases for streaming services and Netflix is the next company to do so.

Yesterday, it was announced that Netflix was raising the prices of its Premium tier from $19.99 a month to $22.99 a month, which is a $3 increase.

The company is also raising the price of the Basic tier to $11.99 a month for those who are still subscribed to it after the plan was discontinued earlier this year.

Changes to the pricing of these plans will take effect immediately.

For the time being, the company’s other plans such as its ad-supported plan for $6.99 a month and Standard plan at $15.49 a month will not being receiving any sort of price increase or changes.

For Apple TV 4K users, in order to get access to streaming content in 4K on Netflix, they would have to have either the Standard or Premium plans.

Other streaming services this year such as Peacock, Paramount+, ESPN+, Disney+, Hulu, and even BritBox (including its channel on Apple TV Channels)  have also all raised their monthly prices this year too.

Netflix is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac.
