It’s the new year and for some that means “new year, new you.” With that said, here’s some content you should be watching to get your 2024 off to a good start.

TV:

  • “Loudermilk”: This series has an interesting history behind and all three seasons of the show are now available to stream on Netflix.

  • “Ted”: Not the two movies but this new TV series is based on the two previous films and will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock on Thursday, January 11.

  • “Suits”: The series was quite popular in 2023 on streaming services and TikTok. All nine seasons can be streamed on Peacock and the first eight seasons are available on Netflix.

  • “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” (Season 1): It’s a remake of the original “Percy Jackson” book series but in TV show form. The first three episodes are available now and new episodes will premiere exclusively on Disney+ each Wednesday.

  • “Broadchurch”: For all of the true crime fans out there, this one is for you. All three seasons of this hit TV series starring David Tennant can be streamed either on PBS Masterpiece online or for free with ads on Tubi.

Movies:

  • “The Social Network”: Since this is a new year and a new month, we’re all about inspiring you to potentially become the next big thing . This classic 21st century film can be streamed on Starz.

  • “BlackBerry”: A movie all about the founding and creation of the BlackBerry smartphones that was released last year can be streamed on AMC+.

  • “The Intern”: This film is available to stream on MAX.

  • “We Are Your Friends”: Once again, this is another great film that can inspire you to pursue your biggest ambitions. It is not on a streaming service right now, but can be rented on the Apple TV app for just $2.99.

  • “Post Grad”: For all of you college winter grads, the story is not only interesting, but you might be able to find it to be relatable when it comes to the main character applying for jobs and doing job interview after job interview. It is available to stream on MAX.

Sports:

  • Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans (NFL): If the Colts win and the Jacksonville Jaguars lose on Sunday, the Colts will win the AFC South division and get a spot in the playoffs. There are playoff implications for the Texans as well. The game will be played at 8:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 6, and broadcast on ABC and ESPN, and streaming live on ESPN+.

  • Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers (NFL): This game will be played at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, on FOX.

  • NFL Wild Card Playoff Game: We do not know who will be playing it as this is being published, but one game will be an exclusive on Peacock on Saturday, January 13.

  • Iowa State vs. Oklahoma (College Basketball): It looks like it could be a good match up for two Big 12 Conference teams. It will be played at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 6, exclusively on ESPN+.

  • College Football National Championship: For this game, we’ll get to find out who the best team in college football is. The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 8, on ESPN.
