The National Championship for the current college football season is coming up soon and the good news is there is an option to stream it in 4K.
This year, the National Championship will be between the Washington Huskies and Michigan Wolverines and be played at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 8, on ESPN.
According to TVAnswersman.com, ESPN will be airing the game in 4K. However, there is a catch to this.
ESPN will be showing the game in 4K via its Skycam which is said to be “a single camera system suspended over the field and controlled by a computer.” On top of that, it is said that the Skycam 4K camera view will only be available for YouTube TV subscribers.
The regular feed of the game on ESPN will be broadcast in normal high definition (HD).
YouTube TV subscribers can get the Skycam 4K feed of the game but will have to be subscribed to the 4K Plus add-on which costs an additional $9.99 a month. YouTube TV currently costs $72.99 a month.
For those who do not have an Apple TV 4K yet, they start at $129 with 64GB of storage.
