Epic’s MyChart app gets new update with support for Wallet app

Avatar for David Becker

The MyChart app from Epic is a popular app used by doctors offices and their parent companies to use as a one-stop place for patient health services.

In the app, users can do things like manage their account, set up new appointments with their doctor, get test results, and manage medications such as tracking the current ones they are one, what type of medicine it is and specifics regarding it.

Monday, it got even better with the release of Version 10.8.1 which brought support for the Wallet app on the iPhone by enabling users the ability to add their health insurance ID cards to the Wallet app.

The developer notes can be found below.

“You can now add insurance ID cards to Apple Wallet and your COVID-19 passes update on their own. These features might become available to you after your healthcare organization starts using the latest version of Epic.”

Upgrades to the app also included, “First-time app setup and organization management have had a modern refresh. Shortcut management and visibility have been improved. These features are available immediately to all users who upgrade the app.”

The MyChart app by Epic is available on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
