March Madness is coming sooner than you might think and now is the time to find out how to stream the games this year and get your streaming setup ready.
For starters, live TV streaming services will be able to get you all of these events and games.
Selection Sunday, which determines which team will get put into which seed and who will play who first, will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 17, on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.
With that said, here is how you can stream the games live once they commence:
The first games will be played on Tuesday, March 19. As it has been for a while now, the games will be broadcast on CBS, TBS, TNT, and TruTV. You can see the full schedule here.
Live TV streaming services like YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV will be excellent places to go to stream these games live. However, one of the better options will be Sling TV.
Right now, Sling TV is offering a promotion where users get their first month of the service at half off. The Sling Orange + Blue plan, which is the only one that will have TBS, TNT, and TruTV, will be available for $27.50 for the first month. Please note that this offer is for new customers only and that Sling TV does not have local CBS stations in most TV markets.
Another way to stream the March Madness games that is different compared to 2023 will be through Paramount+ and MAX. In the past year, after the rebranding of MAX (Previously HBO Max), the streaming service has the B/R Sports add-on which is currently available for free for a limited time. Those interested would have to sign up for the base plan at $9.99 a month.
With the added cost of MAX at $9.99 a month and ad-free Paramount+ at $11.99, the monthly cost would be just $21.95 for a month with those two streaming services.
Of course, there is the option to stream the games from the March Madness app. It will require you to sign in with your TV provider credentials, but once that is done, you can stream up to four live games at once (only available on the Apple TV 4K).
Additionally, the app seems to have support for Live Activities, making it so users can view scores of games right from their iPhone’s Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.
