Shortly after the company raised the price of Spotify Premium to $11.99 a month, now Spotify has launched a new Basic tier version of its service for $10.99 a month, per a company blog post last week.
The difference between the Basic monthly price and the Spotify Premium price is that the Basic tier does not allow for users to listen to audiobooks.
With regular Spotify Premium, users get access to 15 hours of audiobooks each month.
With the new Basic tier plan, it additionally enables Spotify to still compete with Apple Music on price since they’re both $10.99 a month.
Spotify is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac, and CarPlay.
