Last week, Ohio was the first state of 2024 to get support for state IDs and drivers licenses to be added to the Apple Wallet app on the iPhone and Apple Watch.

Now it appears as though California could be next on that list, with a new page on the California DMV website that is showing how residents can add their ID or drivers license to the Wallet app on their iPhone.

The page does read “Now you can add your California driver’s license or state ID to Apple Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch so you can present it easily and securely in person and in app.”

This could simply be in the testing phase right now for the California DMV since the page itself is still missing images on it, as well as security certificates.

Other states that currently have support for adding state IDs and drivers licenses to the Wallet app are Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, and Ohio.
