The entire iPhone 16 lineup including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with support for up to 45 watts of fast-wired USB-C Charging. This new information has been revealed by a certification from the China Quality Certification Centre, which was highlighted by @VNchocoTaco (ShrimpApplePro) on X (formerly Twitter).

The new certification states that the latest iPhone 16 models can charge at 5-15 volts and up to 3 amperes, resulting in a significant improvement over the iPhone 15 which only went up to a maximum of 29W. This marks a 55% increase in the peak charging speed, however, we still need to wait for real-world battery tests to see the overall time it takes to fully charge the phone. Apple hasn’t mentioned this improvement in the event or elsewhere and they still suggest customers use a 20W Adapter. It is unclear if using a 45W would be efficient until we have more information.
Apple did mention a jump in MagSafe charging speeds, going from 15W to 25W, marking a 66% increase in the peak charging speed. This would require you to purchase the new MagSafe charger from Apple, as well as use a 30W adapter to achieve the maximum 25W.
