How to put a fireplace on your Apple TV in 2024

Avatar for David Becker

With the holidays rolling around this time of the year, many Americans out there are feeling the chill that comes with the late fall and soon-to-be winter seasons.

The good news is that even though it may be getting colder outside, you can at least get comforted in your home with your home’s heater, a separate space heater, and a fireplace of your choice on your Apple TV.

Here are your following options this year:

  • Winter Fireplace: This is an app in the App Store that is available on the Apple TV that does exactly as it says which is to show a fireplace on your TV screen. It’s quiet and you mostly only hear the cracking and popping of the fireplaces being shown. You can find a similar app such as Virtual Fireplace in HD in the App Store too.

  • Pluto TV: For the holiday season, Pluto TV has fireplace channels where one of them is simply quiet and shows a fireplace and another channel that shows a silent fireplace but plays Christmas music in the background. Those channels are called “Crackling Fireplace” and “Festive Fireplace.”

  • YouTube: When in doubt, there is always a YouTube video that will play a fireplace on your TV screen. Might I suggest something like a Dark Academia-themed fireplace for some holiday-themed coziness and ambiance? Either way, whether you choose that one or another one, there are plenty of choices out there can fill and suit any mood.

While it may seem “fake” or weird to have a fake fireplace going inside your homes during the holiday season, some people really do like them and they can help ring in the holiday season.
