It has now been officially announced that Apple Pay Later option Synchrony is now an option when checking out with Apple Pay on apps and website that accept Apple Pay.
With that said, you will need a Synchrony Mastercard in order to use the payment option.
The eligible cards for this are Synchrony Preferred Mastercard, Synchrony Plus World Mastercard, or Synchrony Premier World Mastercard.
Once a user has added the Synchrony Mastercard to the Wallet app on their iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 can select Synchrony as a Pay Later payment option when checking out on a app or website that accepts Apple Pay.
The company also said that it plans to make it so users can redeem points earned from said eligible Synchrony cards later this year from an iPhone or iPad.
