Apple has started rolling out the sixth developer beta of macOS Tahoe, according to Apple’s Developer Webpage. This update comes one week after the release of macOS Tahoe beta 5. It looks like Apple has switched to the weekly release schedule as expected, with the final public version debuting next month. We can expect the third public beta for this version to be released later this week.
macOS Tahoe includes a new design implemented across the system called “Liquid Glass”. This is the second redesign of macOS in recent times after macOS Big Sur. Everything from icons to the System UI will now adapt to the surrounding elements with the translucent material. According to Apple,” The new material, Liquid Glass, is translucent and behaves like glass in the real world. Its color is informed by surrounding content and intelligently adapts between light and dark environments. Born out of a close collaboration between the design and engineering teams, Liquid Glass uses real-time rendering and dynamically reacts to movement with specular highlights. This creates a lively experience that makes using iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV even more delightful.”
Similar to iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 Beta 6, macOS Tahoe Beta 6 includes a new onboarding video:

Users who are registered as developers on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting macOS 26 Tahoe Developer Beta. Do note that this version is not stable and is meant for testing purposes.
Users can also sign up as a Public Beta Tester for macOS Tahoe on www.beta.apple.com, as the release of Beta 3 is near.

- MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
