The first major tool, named Enchanté, serves as a versatile, ChatGPT-like assistant designed exclusively for Apple employees. Rolled out more broadly in late 2025, the app helps staff with everything from brainstorming and coding to proofreading and general knowledge queries. Unlike public AI platforms that often raise data leakage concerns, Enchanté runs locally or on Apple’s private servers. This allows employees to securely upload internal documents and files for analysis without risking the exposure of sensitive company data. Furthermore, Enchanté is a testing ground for variety. It gives employees access to: Apple’s Foundation Models, Anthropic’s Claude, and Google’s Gemini.
While Enchanté is a general-purpose creator, Enterprise Assistant is a specialized knowledge hub. Built entirely on Apple’s proprietary internal models, this app acts as a 24/7 HR and policy expert for the company’s workforce. Instead of hunting through complex internal wikis, employees can simply ask Enterprise Assistant about health insurance benefits, vacation policies, or technical tasks.
The real secret sauce behind these apps is the feedback mechanism. Every time an employee rates an answer as “helpful” or “inaccurate,” they are providing high-quality training data. This data is critical for fixing the rollout issues that have plagued early versions of Apple Intelligence. This internal stress-testing is a precursor to the major Siri overhaul expected later this year.
