Volvo has officially pulled the wraps off the Volvo EX60, an all-electric mid-size SUV, and it’s a major leap forward for in-car entertainment and intelligence. For the Swedish automaker, this is the first Volvo to feature native Apple Music integration with full Spatial Audio support.
For many users, the lack of a native app in the dashboard has always been a slight hurdle. The EX60 changes that by coming with Apple Music pre-installed. This means you can access your entire library, curated playlists, and live radio directly through the car’s 15-inch infotainment screen—no phone connection required for streaming.
Volvo has equipped the EX60 with a premium 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system. In a first for the brand, this setup includes speakers built directly into the headrests of all four main seats. With Dolby Atmos support, the EX60 delivers a 360-degree Spatial Audio experience that transforms the cabin into a private concert hall.
The EX60 is the first Volvo to launch with Gemini as its primary AI assistant. Gemini is deeply integrated into Volvo’s new HuginCore system, allowing for natural, multi-turn conversations. It is built on a “no-lag” infotainment architecture powered by NVIDIA and Qualcomm; the response times are nearly instant, making the digital experience feel smooth.
The EX60 comes standard with Wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing you to mirror your favorite apps effortlessly. Even more exciting is the inclusion of Apple Digital Key Plus. This allows you to unlock and start your car using just your iPhone or Apple Watch—meaning you can leave your physical keys at home for good.
The Volvo EX60 is available for order now in European markets, with the U.S. launch expected in late spring 2026. Production is slated to begin this spring at Volvo’s factory in Sweden, with the first customer deliveries starting this summer.
