Apple is currently working on the release of iOS 26.5.2, as indicated by visitor logs of both 9to5Mac and MacRumors. iOS 26.5.2 is expected to be released very soon, with minor bug fixes and/or security updates. The current publicly available versions are:
  • iOS 26.5, which was released more than one month ago with a new Pride Luminance Wallpaper, End-to-End Encrypted RCS, and more.
  • iOS 26.5.1, which was released to fix a charging issue on iPhone 17 models and iPhone Air. The update was released only to these affected devices, and not for all iOS 26 supported devices.

Apple keeps refining the software experience with every new version and updates its Security Update webpage to incorporate the release of the new software versions, detailing the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed, and subsequently crediting researchers who found them.

The update is expected to be available for the following iPhone models soon:
  • iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17e
  • iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16e
  • iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max

  • iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)

It is likely that Apple will also release iPadOS 26.5.2 for the following iPad models:
  • iPad Pro (M4 and M5)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
  • iPad (8th generation and later)

If you are already running the betas of iOS 26.6 or iOS 27.0, you will not be able to install this update Over-the-Air when it is released.
