The streaming world saw another price increase this week with NBCUniversal-owned Peacock being the next streamer to raise its monthly prices.
Here are the following price increases that are coming:
- Peacock Premium (ad-supported): $12.99 a month (previously $10.99 a month)
- Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free): $19.99 a month (previously $16.99 a month)
As of Tuesday, August 18, has increased its price on its website and in-app purchase subscriptions in the App Store. Those who are currently subscribed to Peacock will see the price increase in their monthly bill starting next month.
Peacock can be seen as a valuable service to have right now with the college football and NFL regular season starting in the next few weeks.
Peacock not only has exclusive BIG 10 college football and overall athletics on its platform, but is also home to BIG 10 Saturday Night and NFL Sunday Night Football that also air live on NBC as a simulcast.
Other major sporting events Peacock has live MLB, NBA, WNBA, and Premier League soccer games. If you subscribe to the ad-free tier of Peacock, you will get access to your live local NBC affiliate/station which includes local news, local, and national programming too.
The service does have a plethora of movies and TV shows on it. This includes popular movies such as the “Harry Potter” movie series, “Fantastic Beasts” movie series, “Despicable Me” movies, “MINIONS,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” along with many others.
TV shows on it are “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” “Modern Family,” and original series such as “The Day of the Jackal,” “A.P. Bio,” and “Love Island.”
Please note that these price increases do not impact the prices of the Apple TV + Peacock bundle which are still $14.99 a month for the ad-supported tier and $19.99 a month for the ad-free version.
Peacock is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
