The iPhone Air comes with a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR Display with ProMotion, Always-on Display, and the Dynamic Island, while being powered by the A19 Pro chip, the same chip that powers the iPhone 17 Pro, which has an additional GPU core. The Air will receive additional AI features such as Advanced Dictation and the ability to control the pace and expressiveness of Siri’s voice, as it features 12GB of RAM instead of 8GB on the base iPhone 17. Having 12GB of RAM does make the device more future-proof in terms of newer upcoming AI features. The battery life is on par with the iPhone 16 Pro, according to Apple’s claims, with both offering up to 27 hours of video playback, despite the Air being 5.6mm thin. However, there are some downsides to the Air: it comes with a single camera and no ultra-wide or telephoto lenses, which might take time to get used to, and it has a single speaker instead of stereo.
