Apple today announced the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the all-new iPhone Duo, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Ultra 4 at its “Surprise and shine” event, which lasted for about 1.5 hours. As expected, Apple has started rolling out the Release Candidate versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27 to beta testers. These updates come one week and two days after the release of the eighth beta software for these versions. The updates include improvements to Liquid Glass, a new Siri AI, new Screen Time options, and more, announced at WWDC held in June. The new Siri AI will require your Apple device to be set in English and Apple has announced that support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish will debut next month.
Here are the build numbers for the new developer betas:
- iOS 27.0 and iPadOS 27.0 RC: 24A35
- macOS Golden Gate 27.0 RC: 26A428
- tvOS 27.0 RC: 24J360
- watchOS 27.0 RC: 24R363
- visionOS 27.0 RC: 24M362
The release will be available to the public on September 14th.
